12 Steps   12 Traditions   What A.A. Does Not Do   Open & Closed Meetings

The Monterey Bay Area Intergroup of Alcoholics Anonymous lists both Open and Closed A.A. meetings in its meeting schedule. However, there are important differences between the two types of meetings:
  • Open meetings are available to anyone interested in the Alcoholics Anonymous program of recovery from alcoholism.
  • Closed meetings are for A.A. members only or for those who have a drinking problem and have a desire to stop drinking.
